The Royal Handbook
A plain “what do I click” companion to every tool in the CADAKAY KING CHEST.
How it always works
Click the ribbon button → a dark dialog opens → make your picks → hit the action button. Most tools stay open so you can run again. Nothing changes the model until you press the action. A ▾ means the button has a dropdown of related tools.
Royal Courtsheets & views
Title Stamp — Swaps the title block on many sheets at once.
→ Royal Court → Title Stamp → pick the new title block → check the sheets → Apply.
Royal Dispatch — Builds a reusable issue package and exports it.
→ Royal Court → Royal Dispatch → tick sheets/views → Save → Export PDF / CAD / IFC.
View Aligner — Copies a scope box / crop and stacks viewports in the same spot on every sheet.
→ Royal Court → View Aligner ▾ → pick the master view → check the targets → Apply.
Sheet Heir — Duplicates a whole set of sheets (with their views) in one move.
→ Royal Court → Sheet Heir → check the source sheets → set a name rule → Create.
Sheet Forge — Bulk-creates sheets and drops views/details onto them in a grid.
→ Royal Court → Sheet Forge → pick a title block + count → choose views/details → Forge.
Kingdomworksets & the firm
King Workset — Creates standard worksets and assigns elements onto them.
→ Kingdom → King Workset → Standard Worksets (or Create) → pick a target + select elements (or Assign per Rules) → Assign.
Queen D's Warden — A live roster of who's on the firm standard (manager).
→ Kingdom → Queen D's Warden → read On-standard / Stale / Strayed → click a chip to filter → Export CSV.
Sovereigntranslators (map old → firm standard)
Style Translator — Maps line styles to your firm's and converts every line.
→ Sovereign → Style Translator → Load Standard → click a source, click a target → Apply.
Text Translator — Same click-to-map for text & dimension types.
→ Sovereign → Text Translator → click a source type, click the firm target → Apply.
Content Translator — Same for fill patterns, materials, line patterns, fill regions.
→ Sovereign → Content Translator → pick the category → click a source, click a target → Apply.
Scriptoriumdetails & CAD
Detail Codex — Pulls typical details from a master file and keeps them synced.
→ Scriptorium → Detail Codex → browse the master → check details → Import; later Sync All Changed.
Detail Codex — Linked View — Builds live linked detail sections off the master's cell grid.
→ Scriptorium → Detail Codex — Linked View → pick cells → Forge.
Detail Smith — The reverse: files your project's details into the master library.
→ Scriptorium → Detail Smith → pick views → Section/Plan → a target cell → File.
Insert CAD-REV — Imports a DWG detail into a fresh drafting view.
→ Scriptorium → Insert CAD-REV → Browse/pick a DWG → Insert → Full-Explode it in Revit.
Translate CAD-REV — Converts the exploded CAD to firm standards in one pass.
→ Scriptorium → Translate CAD-REV → confirm the standards → Translate.
CAD Scour — Deletes leftover exploded-CAD lines/text/hatch.
→ Scriptorium → CAD Scour → tick the types → Select to see → Delete.
Guardstructure, dimensioning & annotation
Header Guard — Places centered lintel/header beams over openings, scheduled and tagged.
→ Guard → Header Guard → check openings → pick a beam type → Place.
Portcullis — Auto-sleeves pipes/ducts through beams/walls/floors.
→ Guard → Portcullis → Scan → review sizes/flags → check rows → Place.
Steel Marshal X — Cleans beam ends for RAM.
→ Guard → Steel Marshal X → pick the fix (Zero / Snap / Split / Size audit) → Run.
Sigil — Tags a whole category in the view at once, with your firm's tag.
→ Guard → Sigil → pick the category + tag family → Tag.
King's Measure — Auto-dimensions grids, walls & openings, or along a drawn line.
→ Guard → King's Measure ▾ → pick a mode → set the toggles (the live diagram updates) → Go.
Royal Order — Nudges stacked tags/dim text apart and redraws leaders.
→ Guard → King's Measure ▾ → Royal Order → Declutter Overlaps.
Grid Sentinels — Flips/cycles grid bubbles or shows them on both ends.
→ Guard → King's Measure ▾ → Grid Sentinels → pick grids → Flip / Both ends.
KD On-Axis — Finds and straightens off-axis walls/groups.
→ Guard → KD On-Axis → click a row to open the view → Mark Safe or Straighten.
Line Tally — Totals line + line-based-family lengths, grouped how you choose.
→ Guard → King's Measure ▾ → Line Tally → select (or all in view) → pick a Group-by → CSV.
Chartertext & templates
View Standard — Apply / compare / push view templates, or batch-rename views.
→ Charter → View Standard → filter + pick views → a tab: Apply / Compare / Push / Rename.
Text Studio — A Word-like editor for Revit notes.
→ Charter → Text Studio → click a note → edit/format (or Find & Replace) → Apply.
Decreestandards & cleanup
Royal Steward — The firm-standards + license hub (free — always reachable).
→ Decree → Royal Steward → pick a tool section → set defaults / Save / Publish; License pane to paste a key.
Kingdom Setup — Project-info defaults + shared-parameter binding.
→ Decree → Kingdom Setup → fill the fields (Browse a shared-param file) → Apply.
Parameter Vault — Review and swap parameters across the model.
→ Decree → Parameter Vault → pick source/target params → Apply.
Family Forge — Replaces one family with another everywhere it's used.
→ Decree → Family Forge → pick source + target family → Show on Sheets → Merge.
View Purge — Safely deletes unused views/families.
→ Decree → View Purge → Check All Safe → Purge (stays open for more passes).
Throne Roommodel health & time
BIM Pulse — A live health score with warnings, hygiene, and a trend chart.
→ Throne Room → BIM Pulse → read the dials → click a tile to drill in → Export Report.
Usage Radar — Shows which families/types are used vs. bloat.
→ Throne Room → Usage Radar → sort by usage → pick an unused row → send to King Workset / purge.
Session Tracker — Your time per model / day / week.
→ Throne Room → Session Tracker → just read it (logs automatically when a file closes).
Realm Check — A quick model + environment sanity check.
→ Throne Room → Realm Check → read the results.
Royal Advisoraudit
BIM Advisor — A prioritized list of findings, each with the fix.
→ Royal Advisor → BIM Advisor → sort by severity → click a finding for the fix.
View Inspector — Read-only view audit (placed / referenced / orphan / on a sheet).
→ Royal Advisor → View Inspector → click a status badge to filter → Go To View.
Vaultdata
Data Bridge — Round-trips schedule data through a CSV.
→ Vault → Data Bridge → Export a schedule → edit the CSV → Import the changes back.
AI companionKingdom tier
Royal Herald — Opens an AI/MCP door so an assistant can read your model and run reports.
→ Royal Steward → Royal Herald → toggle On → connect Claude Desktop → ask for a report (confirm-first for any change).
